THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE DAINTREE RAINFOREST

The Daintree Rainforest has one of the wettest climates in Australia with the majority of rainfalls occurring from around December to April. Despite this wet climate, however, the temperature is quite humid with the average temperature ranging between 27 and 33 degrees. During this time, most plants will blossom and the water flows are quicker which makes the wet season quite popular for tourists to swim in. The temperature begins to cool down from around May to November with the average temperature of 25 degrees. During this time, conditions become drier and the humidity drops dramatically making long walks and exploring popular with tourists.
