The Estuarine Crocodile
Habitat: Rivers, estuaries, creeks, swamps, lagoons and billabongs. Can survive in salinities of 0% (saltwater) to 35% (sea water) and have been found in areas with twice the salinity of sea water (75%).
Feeding and Diet: Smaller animals such as fish, crustaceans, crabs and insects. Larger animals such as turtles, birds, reptiles, dingoes, wallabies, domestic cattle, and people.They are also canablistic.
Predators: Goannas and feral pigs prey on eggs. Young hatchlings fall victim to birds of prey, large fish, freshwater turtles, and other crocodiles.
Threats: Fishing nets, habitat destruction
