habitat: wet tropics, rainforest, woodlands, melaleuca swamps, mangroves, beaches [sometimes grassland, savanna, and palm forest]

diet: fruit, inverterbraes, plants, fungi, carrion and small vertebrae

predators: crocodiles, pythons, quolls and dingos

threats: pigs [steal their food and destroy nests and eggs], dogs attacks, humans hand feeding them (they may grow dependent), habitat degradation, vehicle strikes
