The biological and cultural significance is unrivalled compared to any other in Australia due to the high levels of biodiversity and endemism. The concentration of animal and plant species is like none other. It is the oldest rainforest on the planet.

 

Our website’s purpose is to answer the question- What would happen to the ecosystem of the Daintree Rainforest if we introduced foreign animals? 

This website will present the assumed effect of introducing foreign animals to the Daintree Rainforest based on our research. Our website will provide information about the existing animals in the Daintree Rainforest, the animals we will introduce and display the food chain of the ecosystem before and after the introduction of foreign animals. We will also discuss why we should or should not introduce foreign animals based on our results.
