Jaguar

After the introduction of Jaguar:

The jaguar is an excellent swimmer and climber, it waits in trees for its prey and its strong jaws kill prey with one bite, it is a lethal predator that shows no mercy for its prey. The animal has no predators and when introduced there will be no threats to it’s life such as hunting, as the rainforest is conserved and protected as a national park, which means if introduced it will thrive. This can conclude that they will be at the top of the food chain. Jaguars prey on fish and  turtles. This means that the population of the sea turtle and fish will drastically decrease also affecting the population of the estuarine crocodile and the feral pig as the sea turtle and fish are one of their main sources of food. This does not mean there will not be anymore effects. The jaguar is a carnivore that will eat almost anything it can catch, it is just that they prefer some prey over other prey. This means that all animal populations will be in danger of the jaguar, ultimately causing the reduction of animals populations and the overpopulation of plants as their will be lesser herbivores/omnivores to consume the plants.
